Brad Miles
Founding Partner
Brad Miles founded BMC Communications
Group LLC, in 1996 as a public relations agency focused exclusively
on the needs of emerging and established health-care companies.
Brad has more than 15 years of experience in the health care
public relations agency setting, where he developed communications
strategies for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies
in both corporate and product practice areas. Prior to founding
BMC, Brad was Senior Vice President of Ted Klein & Company
(1990 to 1996), a New York-based pharmaceutical public relations
agency. At Ted Klein & Company, he directed new product
introductions of Bristol-Myers Squibbs BuSpar and Stadol
NS, and worked on corporate strategies around the cancer drug
blockbuster, Taxol. Brad also developed product communications
for brands Nicorette and Seldane. At BMC he has provided strategic
guidance to more than 50 private and publicly traded biotechnology
companies, advising management on strategies around product
pipeline progress through FDA approvals and launch. He built
BMC into a leading, independent public relations firm serving
biotechnology companies. Brad began his career in Washington,
D.C., as a public affairs specialist at the U.S. Department
of Commerce, and then as Director of Public Relations for
a leading telecommunications trade group. He lives in lower
Manhattan with his wife and son.

Michael Roth
Partner
Michael Roth is partner at BMC Communications
Group LLC, a health care communications consultancy located
in the heart of downtown New York City. Prior to joining BMC,
Michael served as Executive Director, Communications for Novartis
Corporation, where he was responsible for its corporate reputation
advertising and public relations campaigns. Prior to Novartis,
Michael was Head of GCIs New York Healthcare Practice
(a division of Grey Advertising/WPP), where he was responsible
for the strategic oversight of one of the world's largest
health care PR practices. His background as both health care
communications practitioner and lawyer lead to extensive experience
as senior counselor in a wide range of areas including litigation
support, issues management, regulatory affairs and pre- and
post- approval marketing. Michael is Chair of the 2005 Public
Relations Society of America (PRSA) Health Academy. He is
also on the Board of Trustees of the Huntington's Disease
Society of America (HDSA) and Chair of its Executive Marketing
Committee. Michael received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from
the University of Missouri and was a staff member of Law Review.
He was admitted to the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations
in August 1993. Michael received his bachelor of arts degree
in English Literature and Philosophy of Law at the State University
of New York at Buffalo, graduating magna cum laude and was
inducted into the Omicron Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa in May
1988. He lives in Irvington, New York with his wife and two
children.
